I enjoy my horse, Paolo, a Hanoverian gelding, home breed FEI horse. I currently compete and manage dressage shows as well as the chapater schooing shows and clinics.

Although I was always a horse enthusiast, I didn't begin riding until I was 25. In the past I did lower level eventing. For about 10 years now I've focused on dressage. I'm currently venturing into 2nd level with my daughter's former jumper, Marcus.

I’ve been riding or wanting to ride since I saw my first horse as a preschooler. I am currently showing my Thoroughbred /Appaloosa mare at 3rd level, making steady but slow progress and hoping to advance next year. In my other life, I work full time as a physical therapist.

I have always had a passion for horses and have been lucky enough to have been riding for most of my life. I am currently participating in USDF’s “L Program,” earning scores towards my Bronze and Silver medals, and constantly exploring new ways to further my knowledge in dressage!

About
Membership
Benefits of Membership in the California Dressage Society AND the Ventura County Chapter
There are lots of reasons to join the California Dressage Society. Most members are active competitors, but even if you are not (yet!), your membership dollars work for the entire dressage community here in California to promote our sport and make it the best that it can be. A portion of your California Dressage Society membership fee goes directly to your local chapter (Ventura County Chapter!) to help support our activities as well.
The California Dressage Society promotes education through clinics and lectures, competition through a wide variety of shows and awards programs, insurance for our events and charitable contributions to important organizations in our interest.
Your membership entitles you to participate in the Horse of the Year Competition, Junior/Young Rider Championships, Regional Adult Amateur Competitions, educational activities and seminars. You will also receive a variety of publications, such as "Dressage Letters", the CDS monthly news magazine and the CDS Omnibus. More information on the benefits of joining the California Dressage Society can be found on the website: www.californiadressage.com or use this link to join now!
