Although I was always a horse enthusiast, I didn't begin riding until I was 25. In the past I did lower level eventing. For about 10 years now I've focused on dressage. I'm currently venturing into 2nd level with my daughter's former jumper, Marcus.

I’ve been riding or wanting to ride since I saw my first horse as a preschooler. I am currently showing my Thoroughbred /Appaloosa mare at 3rd level, making steady but slow progress and hoping to advance next year. In my other life, I work full time as a physical therapist.

I have always had a passion for horses and have been lucky enough to have been riding for most of my life. I am currently participating in USDF’s “L Program,” earning scores towards my Bronze and Silver medals, and constantly exploring new ways to further my knowledge in dressage!

Important USEF Helmet Rule Changes
Effective 4/1/2013:
USEF DR120 will require all riders at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized Dressage Competitions to wear protective headgear as defined in DR120.
All riders while mounted must wear protective headgear at all competitions.
Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Protective headgear is defined as a riding helmet which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI(Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. The harness must be secured and properly fitted.
